Lewis has more than 15 years of Muay Thai experience. He started training at GFC when he was five years old. After his first ten fights, he had a record of five wins and five losses, but he went on to win his next 50 fights, picking up numerous area, British, European and world titles.

After a brief spell at Bad Company Gym, Lewis returned home to GFC. He has also trained and fought in Thailand, living at a camp alongside Thai fighters and winning his first bout there by first-round knockout. He went on to begin his adult professional career unbeaten.
